Tom Mazur, PsyD
Dr. Tom Mazur is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. He is a clinical psychologist who, for more than 30 years, has had both clinical and research experience in the area of Disorders of Sex Development (DSD). Since coming to Buffalo in 1979 from The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Medical School, he has worked at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo with not only the Chief of Pediatrics and the entire Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, but also with Urology, Genetics, and other pediatric specialties in care of patients with DSD and their families. He developed a protocol for activating a DSD multidisciplinary team once such an infant or child is identified.

Danielle Cook, MS, LMHC
Danielle Cook is a licensed mental health counselor and has been trained and mentored by Dr. Tom Mazur at The Center for Psychosexual Health since 2011. She received her dual master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Canisius College, giving her experience in both school and clinical settings. Due to her unique training, Danielle has presented on Gender Dysphoria, in addition to other specialties provided by the Center, to WNY schools, universities, agencies, and community resource groups. She has also provided education at the state and national level as well as provided assessment material for the international WPATH conference in Amsterdam in June 2016. In addition to her role as a therapist at the Center, Danielle is also the Executive Director for the Children’s Growth Foundation and a master's level Adjunct Professor at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. Danielle has also been named one of Business First's 40 Under 40 honorees for 2015.
