GENDER DYSPHORIA SUPPORT GROUP
We offer Gender Dysphoria support groups for our clients, parents and siblings of the Center. Gender Dysphoria is a persistent unease with having the physical characteristics of one's gender, accompanied by strong identification with the opposite gender and a desire to live as or to become a member of the opposite gender. The groups are designed to share helpful information in a confidential and welcoming setting.
CONGENITAL ADRENAL HYPERPLASIA (CAH)
CAH is a genetic disorder characterized by a deficiency in the hormones cortisol and aldosterone and an over-production of the hormone androgen, which is present at birth and affects sexual development. This group has proven to be extremely beneficial to parents of children with this diagnosis. The groups are designed to share helpful and educational information in a confidential setting. These groups are only open to current clients of The Center for Psychosexual Health.
TURNER SYNDROME SUPPORT GROUP
Turner syndrome is a chromosomal disorder affecting females wherein one of the two X-chromosomes is defective or completely absent. Group meetings and events are scheduled throughout the year. They are open to all individuals with Turner Syndrome as well as supportive friends and family.
