Not Accepting Private Patients

Hi, I’m Aden, and I use he/him pronouns. I became a psychologist because I care deeply about helping people understand who they are, feel supported in their healing, and find confidence in their identity. As a man of transgender experience, I know firsthand how powerful it can be to have someone who truly sees you and understands your journey—and that’s what I hope to offer the people I work with.

My passion for supporting queer and transgender youth began long before I entered the field professionally. Throughout high school and college, I volunteered as a youth mentor and trans* educator, advocating for LGBTQIA+ young people across Western New York. Those early experiences shaped the heart of my work and taught me just how important acceptance, compassion, and community can be.

I completed my Doctor of Clinical Psychology at Medaille College, where my dissertation focused on the experiences of mental health clinicians working with transgender clients. I’ve had the privilege of serving individuals with complex psychiatric and trauma histories during my APA-Accredited internship at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center, and I am currently completing a post-doctoral residency at Cornell University’s Counseling and Psychological Services. Across these roles, I’ve worked with people from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences—and every person has reinforced my belief in the importance of honoring each individual’s story.

What drives me most is the opportunity to support people who may be questioning, exploring, or finding their way—just as I once did. As a former patient at CPH, I know how life-changing it can be to have a safe, affirming place to talk openly about identity, fear, hope, and everything in between. It’s incredibly meaningful to return now as a clinician and offer that same support to others.

If you’re looking for someone who will meet you with empathy, understanding, and genuine care, I’m here. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey toward clarity, healing, and self-discovery
